Meet James Sam, a shop tech at our Dallas, Texas branch. James started with FSE almost a year and a half ago and transitioned from a seasoned auto mechanic, with 13 years of experience, to a heavy equipment mechanic today.
James first got interested in being a mechanic as a young kid, fixing neighborhood kids bikes and motorcycles for money. “I always just loved fixing things,” James told us. “I was always curious as a kid and wanted to know how things worked.” We asked him what was different about working with heavy equipment. “Bring your man muscles, ‘cause this stuff is heavy,” James joked. When he’s not “fixing things,” James enjoys playing softball, coaching his son’s little league baseball team, and being a father to three girls and one son.
